The DAO Multisig controls governance admin to the Balancer deployment on Ethereum. It also custodies any treasury assets across all chains that Balancer operates on or has financial agreements on.

The DAO Multisig has the following power delegated from BAL token holders as part of the subDAO formation proposal:

• Guardian of the DAO - in other words, an ultimate veto power on anything that requires an on-chain transaction as a result of a subDAO decision. It is important to note the DAO Multisig cannot veto a decision made through the governance process (a successful snapshot vote will always be honored). An example of a situation requiring a veto is if Treasury subDAO votes to deposit USDC into a new ponzi to earn 420,690% APR. The DAO Multisig can decline to execute that transaction if a majority agree to do that and ask the Treasury subDAO to reconsider.
